P2S VPN for Macs and AD Domain authentication for P2S VPN is now generally available through Azure Networking.Customers will be able to connect to Azure Virtual Networks over P2S VPN from their Mac machines using the native IKEv2 VPN client. SSTP continues to be the P2S solution for Windows. Customers will be able to support a mixed client environment consisting of both Windows and Macs by enabling both IKEv2 and SSTP VPN.Customers will be able to use the organization domain credentials for IKEv2 and SSTP VPN authentication by enabling RADIUS authentication. The Azure VPN Gateway will integrate with the customer's RADIUS and AD Domain deployment in Azure or on-premises datacenter.

Acquire a client certificate![]()
No matter what client operating system you want to connect from, you must always have a client certificate. You can generate a client certificate from either a root certificate that was generated using an Enterprise CA solution, or a self-signed root certificate. See the PowerShell, MakeCert, or Linux instructions for steps to generate a client certificate.
